Why "business class" isn't one thing
The cabin label covers wildly different physical products: a recliner seat, an angled-flat seat, a genuine lie-flat, or an enclosed suite with a door. Two business class fares on the same route, even at the same price, can mean completely different flights. We go into why this matters in more detail in You Don't Need to Compare Flights. You Need Someone Watching Them For You.
Why most tools can't filter for this
Google Flights does label each flight's actual seat type once you open its details - Individual Suite, Lie-flat, or Recliner - but there's no way to filter or search by it directly. You'd have to open every result one at a time to check what you're actually being offered. A generic price alert built on top of that has the same blind spot: it can watch a "business class" fare, but it can't tell you, or filter for, which seat is behind it.
How milo's business-class alerts work
Set a minimum seat type - angled-flat, lie-flat, or suite - alongside your route, dates and target price. Milo only alerts you on a fare that clears every bar you set, not just the cheapest one wearing a "business class" label. And once it finds a match, it tells you the actual seat type on that flight, not just the cabin it booked as.
This works alongside milo's usual flexible dates and target price handling - a minimum seat type is one more condition a fare has to meet, not a separate search.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between business class and a lie-flat seat?
"Business class" just describes the cabin and service tier; the actual seat can be a recliner, an angled-flat seat, a genuine lie-flat, or an enclosed suite - very different products, often on the same route, sometimes even the same price.
Can I set a minimum seat type for my alert?
Yes. Choose angled-flat, lie-flat or suite as your floor, and milo only alerts you on a fare that meets or beats it. This is available on milo's Pro plan.
Does this work for First Class too?
Yes, the same seat-type filtering applies to First Class alerts.
Will milo tell me which seat type it actually found?
Yes - once an alert has found a match, milo shows you the actual seat type on that flight, not just the cabin it booked as.
