How milo is different
Google Flights and Kayak's price alerts are both designed to tell you when a price changes, or moves significantly. Milo starts from a different question: not "did the price change," but "has it reached the price I actually said I'd pay."

"Your target price was reached."
A route that moves from £612 to £590 to £623 to £574 has changed price four times. But none of those prices necessarily means "book it." That's how price alerts become noise you learn to ignore.
Milo asks for a number up front: "I'd book this at £550." Then it hunts. No £550, no notification. £550 found, you're the first to know.

On price guidance specifically: Google's Price Insights and Kayak's Price Forecast both do real, useful things - showing whether today's fare is low, typical or high, and predicting whether it's likely to rise or fall. Milo uses that same kind of context for a narrower purpose: helping you pick a realistic number at the moment you set your target, not as something you check separately.
When Google Flights or Kayak is the better choice
If you're actively shopping right now and want to compare dozens of routes and dates in one sitting, Google Flights' search and Kayak's filtering are both faster for that than milo, which isn't built as a general search tool. Milo is for the opposite situation: you already know the trip, the price, and the constraints you'd accept - and you'd rather set that once than keep checking.
That's the whole pitch: milo watches your exact route, cabin, stops and layover limit, on a schedule you choose, and only gets in touch once your price is real.
