How milo is different
Jack's Flight Club and Going are deal newsletters at heart. You tell them your departure airport (and on Going, sometimes a region), and their team finds cheap fares worth sharing and broadcasts them to everyone signed up. It's genuinely useful for "surprise me" travel - but by design, it can't tell you about a route you actually want unless it happens to be one they found and decided to share.
Milo starts from the other direction: you say the destination, the dates, the cabin, and the price you'd book at. Milo doesn't need your route to also be a deal someone else already spotted - it just watches for it.
"Here's a deal we found."

Neither is "better" outright - they answer different questions. "What's a good deal from my airport this week?" is a Jack's Flight Club or Going question. "Is my specific trip to Tokyo under £600 available yet?" is a milo question.
What each one actually does
To be fair to both: Jack's Flight Club and Going have real, dedicated teams finding real deals - that's not something milo does or is trying to do. Here's specifically how their alerting compares to milo's own target-price alerts, based on their own current documentation.

Two rows are worth explaining rather than just marking. Going's "My Trips" (Premium/Elite only) is a real feature - you can track a specific trip and get alerts when its price drops, which is why it's marked partial rather than a flat no. What isn't clear from Going's own documentation is whether that alert is triggered by a target price you set, or simply any drop - so we've marked it honestly as unclear rather than guess. And on cabin class: Jack's Flight Club's premium/business deals are a benefit of your membership tier, not a filter you apply to your own search - you see whatever cabin of deal comes up for your tier, not necessarily for the route or dates you actually wanted.
When Jack's Flight Club or Going is the better choice
If your plans are genuinely open - "somewhere cheap, sometime this year" - a curated deal newsletter is arguably a better fit than milo. You'll see deals to places you'd never have thought to search for, found by people who do this all day. Milo can't do that; it only ever looks for what you specifically told it to look for.
Milo is for the opposite situation: you already know where you're going, roughly when, and what you'd pay - and you'd rather set that once than wait for it to show up in someone else's newsletter.
That's the whole pitch: milo watches your exact route, cabin, stops and layover limit, on a schedule you choose, and only gets in touch once your price is real.
